FAQ's
What is a PQQ? (Pre Qualification Questionnaire)
Will there be a charge for stage 1 at any time?
Stage 1 is completely free and no charges will be incurred at any point. As stage 1 is an automated electronic process we do not have to deal with any 3rd parties for the stage to be completed. The only cost incurred is an annual cost when you upgrade to stage 2.
What does becoming Achilles registered mean?
Becoming Achilles registered reassures Public Sector Buyers of your companies’ credibility, which in turn lowers the risk of them working with you. Achilles will verify credible documents your company may have, such as ISO certificates. This process also includes a small audit verifying you to apply for works up to the value of £100,000.
Does the registration guarantee me work?
The NPQQ Database does not guarantee work within the Public Sector. A successful registration means your details are available on the NPQQ Database to buyers, your details may be viewed and you may be approached for work, a quote or a tender.
How does this differ from tender notifications?
This service does not deliver tender notifications to you on a daily basis like the Tender Notification Service. A successful registration means your business will be added to our electronic directory, where public sector buyers can view your company details and approach your company for work.
Who will be able to access my details and is my registration secure?
Only bonafide public sector institutions that are registered with In-tend will have access to your registration. No other suppliers will be able to access your answers or details, your details are only visible to public sector buyers.
Which Public Sector buyers use the system?
The In-tend community has over 5,500 public sector buyers registered on the company’s database, all of which have access to the NPQQ site. These buyers are from Public Sector Institutes such as Universities, Colleges, Councils and Health Organisations.
Do I have to register for both stages?
Registering for Stage 2 is optional. You can register for free on stage 1 and not progress any further if you wish. However we advise you register for stage 2 to get the most out of the service. In order to start stage 2 you must have completed stage 1.
What will my company gain from registering?
Both stages provide another window of opportunity for additional public sector business and should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. For more information on each of the stages please use the appropriate tabs at the top of this webpage.
Do I have access to my account to keep it up to date?
Once you have completed and submitted your registration it is then your account to add, delete or change any information about your company. This ensures that you keep your details as accurate as possible.
How long do my details stay on the directory?
Your details will stay on the directory for as long as you wish them to be there. As long as you keep your details up to date and check your account on a regular basis then there is no need to remove your registration.
Can we have more than one user on the registration?
Once your account has been set up by a member of your team you can go into your account and add as many users as you wish who will then have access to your company’s details.
